Retirement and Separation planning

Separation of older adults can have different challenges and considerations, in comparision to those experienced by younger separating couples.  Retirement plans which were based upon the sharing of resources and expenses between the couple have to be adjusted, impacting post-retirement expectations.   Here is a link to an article posted in the Globe and Mail.  Two lawyers from Bennet Waugh Corne were quoted regarding the possible team role function of financial advisors in the development of plans for older adults to share resources upon separation.
